NOT FINISHED The Illuminarius: What are they?
« Thread Started on Dec 27, 2007, 1:38pm »

An Illuminari(plural:Illuminarious) is a reincarnation of an original legendary pokemon. There is one per legendary pokemon, but two for mew(Dark and Light). They take the form of a pokemorph of their given legendary. Inside their souls lives the real legendary pokemon, but when the Illuminari is young, their pokemon is imply a whisper in their minds. In order for the Illuminari to be able to release their legendary pokemon, they must find how to unlock their soul, sort of. THis happens along their journey as they travel through the region, searching for runes and artifacts that may help them. After they do this, the original legendary pokemon can be released from them in a physical form, or stay in their soul at choice. Their powers are weakened from what they were originally, so they cannot do as much as they could have in their past life. Instead, they must act as mentors and guardians for their Illuminari to train them to be strong enough.

History

300 years ago, the region of Aresia was ruled by King Atticus III, a great and kind leader. He and his family were all powerful sorcerers. No legendary pokemon existed at that time.

There was a lot of strifeall throughout the region. During the time of Atticus III, there was a lot of fighting going on. The king had no way in his power to fix it. The people just wouldn't listen. That's when the king decided that he and his family, along with any of the noblemen that had alchemist powers, were going to use powerful magic to transform into never before seen powerful pokemon.

The Great Beasts and Bird Mirages

They spent years of their lives trying to become these powerful beings. Atticus himself became the great Arceus. His sister became Ho-oh. His brother became Lugia. He had three children, which became the Great Beasts, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou. The king's brother had three children, which became the Bird Mirages, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. These rebelious children decided to revolt, deciding to try to take control and over throw the king. They convinced half of the king's followers to support them, and even posessed their father, who was a loyal supporter of his brother Atticus. After that, their father became the dark "Shadow Lugia", and led the rebels in the fights. This caused the issues in the country to become worse, and the Mirages and Beasts all fought to the death, along with many of their followers, until finally the Mirages won, and the Bird Mirages took control of the country. From that day, the country of Aresia has been getting worse and worse due to their cruel rule. The people now realize their mistakes in following them in the rebellion.

Feliocites and Lupenas.

The king's sister also had three children, two who were twins and one orpahned human that she took in, who had no powers. The twins both became mews, one which was that of darkness, the other pure goodness. Though one was evil and one was kind, they both remained good friends until death, despite disagreeing with eachother's beliefs. The twins combined their powers to help their non-sorcerer "brother" become a mew as well, but because of the Dark Mew's evil powers, he ended up becoming a mutated form of mew instead, Mewtwo. Mewtwo and Dark Mew terrorized the region, killing nearly all of the people of the part of the country now called "Aresia".

Though it was not at all the intent, the people kiled by her and the Mewtwo all come back thousands of years later in the form of what is known as a "feliocite", a half human, half mew-like creature. They all have her same goal of destroying the human race. Only people killed by her, or her direct reincarnation(there is one feliocite out there that is said to be her Illuminari.) will ever be reborn as feliocites. People killed by feliocites remain dead.

The Dark Mew had made a deal with all of the mightyenas in the region. For years, they had been slaves to the humans. They hunted, pulled sleds, and many other tasks. The humans barely gave them enough food to live, and even would make them fight to the death so their masters could get some money from bets. The mightyenas tried to rebel against their cruel masters, but each time they they would get killed with ease. The Dark Mew gave them very strong powers and strength, as well as allowing them to disguise themselves to hide among the humans. She also gave them a special venom in their fangs. This venom made them possible to defeat an enemy without actually killing it, in case their hunt was "unsucessful". The venom made most people bitten die a slow and painful death. However, it seemed that young children had a slight immunity. Instead of dying, they became werewolf-ish creatures, known as Lupenas. Lupenas were not nearly as strong as the Dark Mew' mightyena servants, except for on the night of the full moon, when they could take the full form and abilities of a mightyena. The mightyenas and Lupenas helped the Dark Mew in killing all of her enemies, nearly making the human race in Aresia non-existant.

The Dark Mew betrayed them. When she had killed all of the human population, she started killing the mightyenas and lupenas off, saying they were "traitors", despite the fact they had done everything they had been ordered. As time went on, she proved to be a more vicious master than the humans that the mightyenas had been trying to get freed from. Now that they were stronger, they rebelled again, this time against her.

When she heard of the rebellion, she decided to try to weaken the mightyenas. However, due to them being a dark type of pokemon, they were immune to her attacks. The lupenas and mightyenas managed to kill her. The mightyenas that the Dark Mew had granted special powers too all died off, leaving only lupenas and regular mightyenas, instead of the freakishly powerful mutant mightyenas. To this day, all lupenas still have the same hunger for the blood of the mew.
